David received a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical

Engineering (with honors) at Lehigh University,

with a double major in Analytic German Philosophy. 

He has been an successful athlete all his life. 

 

In high school, David ran for a State Champion track

and field team in both the 400 meter dash and the 4x400 relay.  He also played for a state-champion soccer team, Division I (class “L”).  He has extensive basketball experience, and still plays in basketball leagues today.

 

David got his start in weight-lifting at 17, when he briefly trained under the former world-record holder in the bench press, Ted Arcidi in his hometown of Manchester, New Hampshire.  His post-collegiate training career includes the following credentials:

2001 (ATS) Advanced Training Systems, certified: New York Sports Club

2001-2 Master Trainer, New York Sports Club

2001-3 Selected for elite personal trainer: Focus Fitness, Inc.

2003-present: Independent Personal Fitness Trainer in New York City

 

David has had a successful training business for 12 years here in New York City (extensive client testimonials upon request).  His national training certifications have included both ACE and NASM; and he has since devoted time to training other trainers to be more adept in the field.

 

David’ own personal fitness achievements include the following feats:

Doubled his weight in 1-rep max flat bench press (345 lbs @ 172 lbs)

Flat bench dumb-bell press (2 x 150 lbs.)

35 consecutive chin-ups

200 consecutive push-ups

155 lb. standing preacher curl (@ 172 lbs.)

245 lb. military press (seated) (@ 180 lbs.)

Overhead dumb-bell press (seated) (2 x 100 lbs.)

52.0 s. 400-meter dash

 

As he did with himself, David’s aim is to help everyone realize their full fitness potential--in both strength and endurance.
